Dear Customers, Dear Friends,
I love autumn… After the sun and heat of the summer, this season can be compared with a fair
of changes! It’s back to school time for pupils, temperatures get cooler, the leaves on the
trees don new collars before they fall…
Changes? Fall? Words that rhyme perfectly with VAT! After some ten years of waiting and of
promises from politicians, the VAT rate in the hotel and catering sector is finally expected
to drop from 21% to 6%. And even if some will say “hush!,” Chez Léon is keen to talk about
this big news. If confirmed, then this change will mean a fall… for your bill.
To give your wallet colour for all seasons!

Another change this autumn in Brussels close to my heart is the reopening,
on 20 September, of the newly renovated Palais des Congrès [Convention Centre].
It has been re-christened for the occasion Square Brussels Meeting Center.
A prestigious building, at the very heart of Brussels, to host many international
events, is a good thing for the capital and for Belgium.
And we have good news for all the congress and conference goers too. Whether they come from Belgium,
Europe, or elsewhere, they will need to walk just two minutes to enjoy the unique
and authentic atmosphere at Chez Léon… The ideal place to get in a good mood and enjoy
fine Belgian gastronomic specialities after a day’s work!
The third and last new development this autumn is the new look of this newsletter,
henceforth produced by Ink Studio.
And as change can take place as part of a continuing process, this newsletter will
enable you to take part in our raffle in an atmosphere bathed by the aroma of Léon beer.
And the meteorological service confirms as much: this autumn, it will be raining prizes!

Spending a moment at Chez Léon means taking a trip at the very heart of Belgo-Brussels cuisine and conviviality.
And Belgium rhymes which chips, mussels, shrimp croquette or chicory au gratin… but also beer!...

The people at Marriott know a good thing when they see it. It makes sense:
in Brussels and elsewhere in the world, Marriott is the symbol of an upmarket hotel, where only the best will do...

The crisis is not all bad news! Not Chez Léon, in any case,
where they have concocted a very special anti-crisis plan:
To offer you more for less!

Before or after your meal Chez Léon, you can take in a little shopping session in the Galeries Anspach,
open again since this September.
The “Léon de Bruxelles – Bruparck” franchise had to close because its lease was not renewed…
